I don’t know about you, but for us the most beautiful time to experience Chiavari begins just when summer seems to be coming to an end.

Anyone spending a few days in the Tigullio during the summer soon realises that, particularly at weekends, there is always a village celebrating something. From the coastline to the inland valleys, almost every community organises at least one food festival, patron saint's celebration or traditional village fair

One of the features that makes a holiday in Chiavari particularly enjoyable is its coastline. The town stretches from east to west and, thanks to this layout, all of its beaches face south. This means they enjoy sunshine from early morning until late afternoon, without being shaded by hills, buildings or other landscape features.

The city market that takes place every morning, from Monday to Saturday, in Piazza Mazzini has its roots in the very history of Chiavari and its growth as the main commercial center of Tigullio.
